Nadiah: Hey Jack. Sorry been really busy with work. I'd like to thank you for the consultation and commitment to ensure we do well in exams. I got 62 for ISORG. Loads of the students have complimented on the significant help that the "bible" have provided. But if I may, i'd like to add a constructive feedback. For me personally, the "bible" provided a very basic idea on what the content of the essays should entail. However, i feel that when studying from it, i still had to restructure 70% of the content in there when presenting my answer. Also I had to add an additional 30% content of my own to form a more complete answer. I really found the textbook useful though. Maybe you could give the future students a heads up when preparing for the exam, relying on the "bible" 100% may not necessarily work for everyone. However supplemented by the term notes, it should be sufficient to get at least a 50 as i felt the case studies really helped a lot! Thanks again Jack.

I got 70.
I did not even touch one page of the textbook.. err.. I didn't even buy it at all..haha.. There was no need for it coz I must say the stack of notes u gave me was an excellent read. Seriously, I've never had such good notes in my entire 2 years of study at SIM. The thing about essay style questions is that u must have a depth of knowledge coz when everyone writes the same thing, there is not much to distinguish between the good students and the best ones. The specialty about your notes is the examples. Theory is easy to write plus everyone has the same theory but your notes gave the extra examples that showed how best to apply the theory that we all know, to practical life. I think if everyone actually read the examples u had provided in the notes well, and understood them, then they could have done equally well. Of course writing the examples blindly will prove fatal. I used the examples to substantiate whatever theory I wrote. It also helps to
write clearly in exams so a lot of practice on different questions will do the trick. I took quite a while personally before settling down to practicing.. Being disciplined is just so hard Mr Jack!!
I think more than the dos, there are also some don'ts that I learnt after the prelims.. it's to not ever ever skip the prelims for any theory paper..
it's the one and only chance I had to know what the marker himself wanted from the scripts, where I was wrong..etc.. Calculations, u can still find out by yourself but theory, really, it's arguments and if u have the real-life examples to substantiate the theory and u can engage the marker in your arguments, I think it's good enough to secure u at least a 2nd upper..
Hmm...that's abt all the strategies that I have.. hope it'll be useful for this year's batch of students! And yes, congrats once again on the 98% passes.. All the hard work of your notes didn't go to waste after all!!

Clarice: I got only 43 for ISORG. I could have done much because I studied for it and the questions I find it easy. What went wrong is that I had very poor time managment, I did the first qn which is asking:for all 3 models, so I spent abt near to 2 hours doing it such that I had very little time for the rest of the qns.. If I am given another chance I will definitely not disappoint u!
Nevertheless, Sir, I am in my final year and I have passed all units and achieve a 2nd lower honours! Thanks for ur guidance! U're a caring teacher to me! Happy belated teacher's day! ^_^

Hello Sir,
I had a low score of 54 for my ISORG. Though it's not high (lower than my mock), but considering I only took the subject in late Jan, it was a decent grade. Many thanks for your efforts to impart the knowledge on the subject matter and I thoroughly enjoyed the subject towards the exams. Learnt a lot on the potential of IT on org.

1st.In ur Q&A link nearing the exams , u had replied promptly despite so many of my qns.
(FYI,chris,teo,rip,alex,etc actually all me ! i paiseh so use different nicks,sorry about that!)
2nd.THE PP,NOTES,BIBLE,THIS SITE,and DOING YOUR ASSIGNMENTS IS ALL YOU NEED.I bot the txtbk/SJ but i nv open at all ahhh! If u ask me,i would say the PP ,Notes and BIBLE are all important,with an emphasis on bible nearing the exams.The bible is V POWERFUL but it has its flaws.I believe it would get better every year.
3rd.i dun find ur lectures dry.I like your constant EMPHASIS/REPEAT , JOKES, AND PRE-EXAMPLES as it is all v impt.In fact,just use Jack's examples.if u think of your own,it might be wrong.I will miss your class manz.
4th.I always hand in my assignments very late , haha.Sometimes it's so late that the model ans come out already and i use that as a reference.lol.But you will always mark and comment.So GUYS,just do your assignments,no matter how late,Jack will mark.Its very impt!
5th.I did not attend the ANG MOH revision.I trust Jack.U can master his bible very good liao.In fact,I mastered only 50% of it.The first few essays of each topic more impt bah,haha
6th.Jack is a sharpshooter.He aim one sure come out.The syllabus v little liao, still can aim some more.If he says 5 topics 2 aim , really,aim those 5 can liao.Dun aim 3 out of his 5 pls,lol.

Hi Jack, I'm from ur PT class and got 58 for isorg.
This year's paper was rather different from previous years, so i guess i have to be glad for such a mark given the amt of time i put in (last min)
It's also apt that the results are released on teachers' day, and it's a time we remember and commemorate all teachers' efforts and teachings, in and outside of school.

Once again, study the bible, it wouldnt go wrong. I got a 63, tks to the good old "bible" I study 3 days before hand and only concentrated on the bible and pray hard.

managed to get 65, thanks jack for the great help. a reminder to all that the uk lecturer's workshop should not be taken lightly. some were complaining about antonio cordella's delivery style, but i feel i've benefitted much from him. esp in the articulation of certain abstract stuff that you may have problems understanding.

I would like to express my sincere and heartfelt thanks for your efforts put into teaching us. Really appreciate the extra mile that u went to help us. I was quite touched too when I saw u patiently replying to a long queue of students waiting to ask u questions even though lecture had ended. Thank you for your informative lectures and great bible that's very useful. I managed to get 63 just from using your bible. I merely extracted the main points and important examples and memorised them before rewriting them in my exam.
Btw Mr Koh, u mentioned in the email that u are going to revamp your bible in light of the different and tough paper that we sat through. Personally I felt that no change is needed as your bible is already so comprehensive but the onus is on the student to extract all the main points and examples from your bible and rewrite in their own words in the exam.

I dun blame anyone..can only blame the paper this yr too many pattern.I only studied the Bible..yupz..I think the Bible must be quickly updated with more *think out of box* questions.
Still satisfied with my results as long as I didnt fail and still managed to graduate smoothly =D

bible notes provided all the knowledge we needed to know but the exam questions are sorta different in such a way that we gotta restructure and choose info that the question is asking. so i guess can't really "copy and paste" the sample questions from bible.
btw, the uk lecture did give good insights and ideas as well as egs that i thought was useful.

to my pleasant surprise, I scored 51! I was expecting to fail because I wasted 45min during the exam on ONE question, which I realised I couldn't answer only halfway and had to select another question.
The rest of the questions that I attempted, I felt I did not answer them in depth enough and I was rushing through the remaining precious 2hrs 15min furiously with my horrendous handwriting.
So somehow i pray hard and by God's grace, I PASSED! 51! Really glad because I didn't even know how.
